Customers at the time had just a couple of options: a cheap flea market OTF or a premium American made OTF with a hefty price tag. In listening to customers, it was clear that people wanted a premium U.S. made auto that was more accessible.
The challenge was more complex than a mere pricing strategy. We had to approach knife design, manufacturing, and our business model in a way that would allow us to deliver a value-packed, American made out-the-front knife without compromise.
We launched the Shift™ OTF in early 2021 and received an overwhelming response from the market. The Shift™ has an established reputation for performance and reliability at an incredible value.
