The MUKABOUT is a collaboration between Peter Rassenti and Ben Bawidamann.
The Overall Goal was to create a sexy but very capable utilitarian Nessmuk design that is compact but not cumbersome… and at just under 8″ it will disappear on your belt or vest … The other intention was to have a project that allowed us to break from our usual patterning and enjoy experimenting with different finish techniques for both of us. There’s nothing better than being able to hang out with friends, and make Really cool things at the same time. For the small run, we chose one of Peter’s favorite steels, and frankly one that I’m pretty fond of myself…. Carpenter CTS-XHP. We both are Loving this design, and we’re confident you will too. Every knife in this small run is touched by both of us through the various processes… so each knife is a true custom collaboration art piece by both Peter and Ben… from design to reality. They each come with their own Kydex scabbard that is snappy and the tension is adjustable for the draw. The scabbard clips to a belt or webbing. There are only so many finishes available in a small sheet Low number run such as this but we tried to hit most of the staples while trying a few others…. some of the finishes are Stonewash, Dark wash, Acid etched Darkwash, Acid etched Dark to Light, Acid etch.
