Return Time Frame
Customers have 7 days from the delivery date shown by the carrier’s tracking information to request a return. Please contact us before sending any item back, as we may be able to help resolve the issue without requiring a return.
Condition of Returned Items
All returned items must be in original condition and include all original packaging. Customers are responsible for safely packaging and fully insuring returned items. If a return is lost or damaged in transit, we cannot process a refund.
Items returned without their original packaging will be subject to a 15% fee due to the additional handling and repackaging required.
Payment Processing Fees & Order Cancellations
All returns and canceled orders are subject to a 10% fee. While commonly referred to as a “restocking fee,” this charge primarily covers non-refundable payment processing fees charged to us by our payment providers at the time the order is placed.
In recent years, payment processors no longer return these fees to businesses once a transaction has been processed, even if an order is canceled before shipment. Due to the growing number of canceled orders and transaction reversals, we are unfortunately unable to absorb these costs as a small business.
If the mistake was ours, such as receiving the wrong item or finish, these fees will of course be waived.
Tactical Elements reserves the right to determine final eligibility for returns, refunds, exchanges, promotions, and order cancellations.
Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the mistake was ours. If the error was on our end, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.
For orders that originally qualified for free shipping, the original outbound shipping cost will also be deducted from the refund total in the event of a return.
Refund Processing Time
Once the returned item has been received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 5 business days back to the original payment method. After the refund has been issued, most payment providers require an additional 5–7 business days for the funds to appear back on your account. Unfortunately, this timeline is controlled by the payment processor and is outside of our control.
