Oxidation is worked into the surface of the metal, it is then massaged to bring out the highlights to give it an almost iridescent glow. The hue varies from silver to brown to blue/black. The look is very similar to the old school case hardening done on early Colt firearms. This is a surface finish and will wear in time. Through use your silver will develop its own patina that will be uniquely yours.
