A V42 Frederick's Devil's Brigade would be proud of.
The V42 can trace its lineage directly to the FSSF First Special Service Force; Which was a joint Canadian-American Organization established in July 1942.
This elite unit was commanded by LTC (MG) Robert T. Frederick; Whom helped designed the V42 knife. The skull crusher pointed pommel idea is credited to COL Orval J.Baldwin FSSF Supply officer. The blade profile was suggested by Dermont Michael "Pat" O'Neil as he highlighted the needs for close quarters combat. Truly a team effort.
The V42 is a knife worthy of the Devil's Brigade legacy; whose name came from an excerpt of a dead German officer's diary "The Black Devil's are all around us every time we come into line and we never hear them."
Our version was done on request of Montana SFA Chapter XXVIII, known as the "Devil's Brigade Chapter"
