Here’s one straight out of the 1980s. The Valor Assassin is one of those wonderfully over-the-top vintage Japanese knives that could only have come from that era. Valor was a Miami-based importer, with many of its better-known knives being produced in Japan, and the Japanese-made pieces have developed a following of their own.
The Assassin is exactly why we love digging up this old-school stuff. It’s unusual, unmistakably ’80s, and you just don’t see them very often anymore. There are even collectors today actively hunting for examples decades after they were originally sold.
